We went to the Hollywood Farmers’ Market to buy fish and fruits and veggies
but found more than that.
We stopped here to eat a healthy salad made of beans, fruits, and veggies ---cucumber, spinach, olives, grapes, tomato, corn, etc. inside a colorful pita bread. We chose the tomato (colored) pita bread vs. the avocado one.
After we bought our salad, the lady made us choose one button from the bag here to put on the line display on top.
We went to another booth and found Ceviche --- some kind of “kinilaw”. I bought this one and the combination of the raw fish with pineapple was especially delightful.
My $10 worth of ceviche was gone in 60 seconds… at the dinner table later.
At the same booth they were selling various dips. Free taste test of the dips with the tortilla chips.
We passed by another booth selling lovely sun dresses made from natural, organic cotton.
There were no petite sizes for me. The lady said her customers were all big women. These were around 25 bucks.
Then to the exotic plants…
Venus Fly Trap plants. The lady cultivated them for sale.
Another variety of the Venus Fly Trap plant.
Here’s another one selling organic pots to grow your own veggies.
And for vegetarians… I wasn’t quite interested. I can never be a vegetarian by choice. I’ll miss my fish and eggs…
And talking of fish…
We baked the Pompano fish I bought from the market. White meat, so yummy and fresh.
Fish soup made from fish head, with lemongrass (tanglad) and spices, salmon fillet, mangoes and saging (banana) na tordan. What a wonderful meal!
After dinner, salon time. Our home service person came to do nails…
And hair…
Vangie’s New Look.
The End.
